The Alberni Inlet (simply called ‘the canal’ by locals) is a beautiful 40 km long inlet that nearly bisects Vancouver Island. The City of Port Alberni was built at its headwaters, while supernatural Barkley Sound is located on the other end. Along the inlet is a scattering of recreational oceanfront real estate.
