Market Wide Summary
Overall sales in the greater Alberni Valley were up significantly for 2017 when compared to the previous year. In fact, the number of single family homes sold in the Alberni Valley (Port Alberni, Sproat Lake, Cherry Creek, and Beaver Creek) was 3 units shy of the all time record set in 2004. The average sale price for single family homes in the Alberni Valley was the highest in history, breaking the record set last year. At Sproat Lake, the number of homes sold was on par with the previous year, while the average sale price hit an all time record. For the first time in years, City of Port Alberni lots sales increased significantly, as did the average price per square foot.
