These ponds also contain ducks and nearby foliage like beautiful yellow irises. This is a relatively short trail of a few kilometres that offers a unique change of scenery.

On the other hand, the Log Train Trail has many access points along its 20+ km stretch, allowing users to choose how long they want to make their hike and what parts to focus on. The far end of the trail leads through the countryside, giving the trail a large breadth of scenic variety. It is one of the most well-known trails in Port Alberni and is very popular among hikers and mountain bikers. Each of these trails is a short walk from most homes in the area.

Nearby Shopping Plaza 

Uplands is a residential area, but it is near central Alberni’s many shopping amenities.
